Solids Incineration

The Epac series of solids incinerators has been designed to accommodate the problem of providing a safe and effective solution to solid waste disposal in remote and environmentally sensitive locations. Controlled air in the primary chamber provides thorough combustion of the waste stream, achieving typically over 95 – 98% volume reduction to a safe, sterile ash. An advanced cyclonic secondary combustion chamber provides superior turbulent thermal oxidation of combustion gases at 850°C, with over two seconds retention time before stack exhaust to atmosphere. Utilising weight saving refractory materials and modular construction enhances ease of installation and greatly simplifies maintenance.

Batch Type

The basic form of incinerator suitable for batch operation. Waste is loaded by hand and a typical burn cycle including cool down could be 4 - 6 hours, depending on the nature of waste. Cycle can be repeated up to 3 times per day. Under bed air is applied to the primary chamber to ensure maximum of reduction to ash.Suitable for either paper and plastic or they can treat very high water and grease content material.

Single tower typically with 3.0m height of snow flake packing. Sump retention times are less than 2 minutes.

Medical Type Similar to the batch type but secondary chamber temperature increased to 1000°C. The standard primary chamber design prevents any leakage of liquids and the under bed air nozzles are designed to eliminate the risk of blockage by ‘sharps’.

Hydraulic Loader

Substantial increases in machine throughput are achieved if hydraulic loader is used. They are typically designed to directly accept wheelie bin or ‘mini skip’ containers. Therefore no direct manhandling of waste. An essential requirement if safety is to be maximised and throughput is critical. Daily operating time can increase to 12 hours.

ISO Containers

A horizontal configuration for both primary and secondary chambers is possible allowing installation inside 20ft ISO containers. A major benefit if rapid deployment and frequent relocation is required.
