Odorgard

A single tower wet scrubbing catalytic system with enhanced performance over conventional caustic hypochlorite systems. The patented nickel catalyst converts the Sodium Hypochlorite solution to brine and releases a highly reactive oxygen compound which can rapidly modify many odorous compounds. High removal efficiency is obtained with low operating pH levels and sump retention times. Effective on alkaline compounds so acid scrubbing towers can be omitted. A major safety benefit as the risk of a gross release of Chlorine gas is prevented.

Catalyst Reactor

The pelletised Odorgard Catalyst is kept in a separate vessel so it can be simply removed for cleaning. Soft water is essential to prevent coating of catalyst with limescale.

Dosing Chemicals

Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Hypochlorite are the two chemicals which are regularly dosed. Can be in IBC containers or in bulk tanks.

Waste Stream

Operating at a typical pH of 9.5 and Hypochlorite at 650 mv the waste can normally be discharged direct to site drainage.

Retrofit

A retrofitted catalyst reactor can provide greatly enhanced removal efficiency and reduce chemical costs.
